Dear
Forum, My
congratulation for your web-site. It looks very nice and entertaining. Here
are some practical games to memorise quickly words. Name:
"Before the third"
Suppose
your students are learning new vocabulary: Transport for example. 1.
Give each one a word and write it on the board. Take for you another
one. 2.
Ensure that each one knows their word and its meaning. 3.
The teacher looking at the board chooses one of the words and says as
quick as possible three times the word. Example: bus-bus-bus. 4.
Previously, obviously, the students need to know the rules of the game. I
mean, the student ,whom you had given this word, has to stop you saying
his/her word (in this case "bus") before the third time you say
"bus" 5.
if she/he did it, you continue trying to catch somebody not concentrated, 6.
if she/he did not , this student takes the turn and try to "fish"
someone. 7.
Everybody keeps sitting and attentive. It is really effective. They get
fun trying to catch the teacher or between them. In 5 o 10 minutes they
have learnt the words when you see everybody is "uncatchable". 8.
Choose other words and start again. Esther
